Alberta Museums Opening Doors for Fort McMurray Evacuees

The Alberta Museums Association is following the events in Fort McMurray closely. Our hearts and minds are with the community of Fort McMurray and those affected. 

A number of Alberta museums are offering free admission to residents of Fort McMurray and Wood Buffalo displaced by the fires. The following sites are free with proof of Fort McMurray residency (government issued ID preferred).


Free admission at all provincially owned historic sites and museums between May 5 and September 5 with proof of residency.  Sites and museums included in this are:

8km southeast of Brooks, off Trans-Canada Highway 1

On Mission Hill, St. Vital Avenue, St. Albert

13km southeast of Elk Point on Highway 646

1.5km off Highway#3 in the Municipality of Crowsnest Pass
 
18 KM (15 minutes) north and west of Fort Macleod on secondary Highway #785

26km south of Fairview on Highway 2, at the north end of the Dunvegan Bridge

Located off Highway #3 in the Municipality of Crowsnest Pass
